Farmers Bank

Established by William F. Heathman, Heathman constructed the Farmers Bank in Clintonville, Kentucky in 1903.(1) The modest one-story building, facing Kentucky
State Route 57, features a pretentious parapet across the top, displaying the name of the building in Art Nouveau lettering.

In 1924, the bank was robbed in a violent attempted robbery that left one dead.(1) The teller, Mr. Buchanan, was killed during the saga. The business closed shortly after and it remained a grocery store for numerous years.
